Exporecerca Jove’s jury is organized by MAGMA, Associació per Promoure la Recerca Jove. It is composed of a large group of qualified experts from different fields of knowledge from outside the association. They work selflessly dedicating part of their time evaluating the projects presented at the fair.
WHY IS THE JURY IMPORTANT?
Thanks to the jury’s rating, MAGMA, Associació per Promoure la Recerca Jove can grant the Exporecerca Jove awards that allow the participants to continue the dissemination of their research. These prizes consist of registration to other showrooms, fairs, or meetings at a national and international level. You can check the prizes list in the "awards" section. The quality of the assessments lies in an ideas exchange, in a one-on-one conversation between two researchers, an experienced one -the jury’s member- and an inexperienced and novice one –the participant- that establishes a dialogue about research. In this sense, we encourage the jury not only to rate the work but also to comment and advise the participant about possible improvements.
PAST EDITIONS JURY OPINIONSXVIII Exporecerca Jove:
"A co-worker told me about it... and I confess that I wasn't very convinced about participating. I came on a Thursday afternoon with the idea of evaluating the work quickly. What I found there greatly surprised me. So that I came back on Friday because I had projects left without evaluation, and I also wanted to meet some that were not on my list. After this experience, I have regained confidence in the future of science, I have enjoyed it enormously, and I hope that next year you will allow me to participate in the jury again..."
XXII Exporecerca Jove:
"My experience is very positive. I am 42 years old, and I work in a technology center. Every year I wait for Exporecerca Jove to arrive to act as a jury. I can see the passion, the level of quality in scientific knowledge, the good education, and the great communication skills of the new generations. It's a pleasure that charges my batteries for the whole year. I have two children, 12 and 14 years old. I usually invite them over. We usually discuss some of the works on display and have a good time.
I've been participating for 7 or 8 years, and I like it more and more. I congratulate you on the excellent organization and good treatment. A lot of strength for next year and keep it up!”
